Tonsils

Hmmm.... what to say about tonsils... Well, I don't have mine anymore, and the recovery is a little slower than I was expecting. Today is day 6 and there is still considerable pain when the meds start to run down.

I had some bleeding on day 4, ended up calling 911 and was taken into Emergency for a better look. It was my first ambulance ride, so that was fun. The bleeding subsided pretty quickly/thankfully, and they re-cauterized a couple spots to prevent the bleeding. Haven't bled since.

The doctor there told me day 5 was the worst, and i am now past that.

We have just received a nice dumping of snow (approx 30 cm), so a white Christmas we will have, which is nice. I am ready for Christmas, all i need to do yet is pick up the 2 kittens i am suprising Lauryn and Brooke with. I pick them up tomorrow. :)

Looks like Jan 09 may be a busy month here for us... I believe we have sold our house, (ya!), and i am currently working diligently on securing another home for us. I have found a mini-home in St. George that I am very interested in, and Lord willing things will all fall in place for me to purchase it.

God is faithful!

I guess i need to take some Advil and get some soup to eat... I am going really enjoy eating real food again!!! It is amazing how many things we can take forgranted!

Back to blogville

Hi all,


We are back to the blog and have noticed that many still remain... so we thought we should update and see if anyone stops by.

We are making plans for Christmas, still have no snow, though today is quite cold.

Brooke is having a sleep over at her Nanny's tonight and Lauryn and I are holding down the fort.

Just a quick note to say Happy Mother's Day to all you mothers out there! Keep up the hard work.

The kids watched Arthur and the Invisibles tonight and they liked it. I am watching Stomp the Yard, but getting very distracted with Facebook and Blogger so I can't really say if I like or dislike it, the dancing in it is cool, tho.....

If you get a chance to go see Dirty Dancing in the theatre-go! They have re-released it for a couple of days. It was soooo fun to be in the theatre watching it. It felt like me and a couple hundred of my closest girlfriends got together to watch it, and about 5 guys were there, too. Everyone was laughing and saying the lines, my personal favorite-"Nobody puts Baby in a corner" and "I carried a watermelon". Watch for tshirts with movie quotes coming soon to a video store near you! There is just something about that movie that I never get sick of, and, oh, yeah, Patrick Swayze!

On another note, I am just finishing up reading Terms of Endearment. Very enjoyable. I'll watch the movie once I've finished it. Then on to Goldie Hawn's biography-A Lotus grows in the Mud. That's what I've been reading.

I am happy to announce that Lauryn's front teeth are finally breaking through. She's been waiting for them to come in since she lost her baby ones waaaaay back in November or December. I was a little worried that she wasn't going to get any!

Well, gotta go check facebook. No the excitement has not worn off yet.

Well, considering that I don't ever take the time to actually type the blogs that I compose in my head I have decided on a new theme for the blog. I always have a book or 2 on the go so I'm going to post what I am currently reading and if anyone wants to read that and leave comments and have an informal cyber book club that would be great. As for keeping up with what the fam is doing, I will try to post pictures of what's been going on. Since August I have wanted to post some pictures of the Barenaked Ladies concert in Charlottetown, but they are on Warren's computer and I can't find them when I'm searching, but anyways we had a great time fourth row from the stage. Tonight we got to see them again at Harbour Station. They were great, but we got there late so I missed the Apartment-one of my faves. And, we weren't on the floor so everybody was sitting instead of standing and dancing so that took away from the experience a bit, but hey it was still BNL. Brooke asked me where we were going and I told her to see the Barenaked Ladies and her response was "EEEWWWWW, YUCK!" So, I explained that they were actually boys and they were not naked! OK, back to the book reading....

The Book of Ruth-the fictional novel, not the actual biblical book of Ruth-by Jane Hamilton who also wrote A Map of the World which is a great book and movie.
The Diary of Anne Frank-can't believe I have never read this
Inside My Heart-Robin McGraw aka Dr. Phil's wife
Do I have ADD or what, why am I reading 3 books at once?
